From Ancient Traditions to Modern Rings

The inspiration for birthstone stacking rings stretches back millennia, to the 12 precious stones that adorned Aaron’s breastplate in Exodus of the Hebrew Bible, representing the 12 tribes of Israel. In 40 C.E., it is said that the Jewish historian Titus Flavius Josephus connected these stones with the signs of the Zodiac and the months of the year, and a belief developed that wearing these stones under their given star sign offered special powers to the wearer.

Today, stackable birthstone bands have become a trendy fashion piece and a popular gift on the occasion of a birthday, holiday, or Mother’s Day.
